About Una

Registered adult nurse

I am a Registered Nurse, validated by The Nursing and Midwifery Council.

I have spent many years working within the acute areas and wards of my local NHS hospital

cardiac rehabilitation

I currently work within the Cardiac Team, specialising in Cardiac Rehabilitation, improving the fitness, strength and well-being of people with long term chronic medical conditions.

covering all 3 phases

I cover all 3 phases within cardiac rehabilitation, as well as exercising pre-operative elective surgical patients


My Fitness Qualifications

Level 4 CardiAC rEHABILITATION tRAINER

Qualifying me to train clients with any type of cardiac issue, including post operative surgical patients, One to One, within a group, home or community based

Level 3 Exercise gp referral and over 50's trainer

Qualifying me to train clients with chronic disease

and qualifying me to develop specific exercise programmes for 'OLDER' clients

gym instructor and level 3 personal trainer

Qualifying me to train clients whatever their ability or age, at home or within the community

I am 55 years old, have been married for 32 years, have brought up 2 children and currently am the owner of 3 very lively Jack Russels

I enjoy gym and studio based exercise. I also enjoy Golf, Ballroom Dancing and Horse Riding. Watching sport is also a passion.

Since the age of 50, I've become a keen gardener and with my Husband tend 2 allotments, when not weeding or digging we enjoy touring in our caravan with the dogs
